Popped in for a drink in the medieval bar, lovely staff & gorgeous views from the terrace. Ate a couple of platters which were lovely & felt privileged to be in this beautiful setting.

Brilliant Place, went for Medieval Event on the Bank Holiday and was brilliant! Think it was was busier than they expected but many free activities and staff were so lovely and welcoming! Highly recommend, you can tell the improvements and effort the new owner is making!

It is the first time I have popped in to the bar for a relaxed drink and been able to just sit and relax on the terrace with such views across the marsh and Channel. In the 30 plus years I have lived here, no previous owner of the castle has ever offered such open hospitality. A nice touch in a village without its pub. Long may it last.

Myself, and several family members went to Lympne Castle for its Medieval re-opening day on Monday 8th May 2023. The staff had clearly worked extremely hard preparing for the opening, and also on the day. They were all very friendly and helpful.
The Castle and its Grounds were spectacular, and it was a pleasure to be allowed to walk freely around and enjoy its history.
It was also great to see so many people enjoying themselves also.
The Staff and Owners should be proud of themselves...Well done.

Lympne Castle, set in the heart of Kent, radiates historical grandeur. Its location offers a mesmerising view of the Kent coastline, marrying ancient architecture with nature's serenity. Every moment at this castle, from its rich tales to the stunning vistas, promises an outstanding experience. A true gem for history buffs and nature enthusiasts alike.

We attended the Pumpkin Decorating event on Sunday 22nd Oct with our daughter and grandchildren. What a super afternoon it was. We were warmly welcomed at the door and given directions to the various activities. We found the staff very friendly, and most helpful. The castle had been beautifully and tastefully decorated, and the event was well thought out. Our grandchildren decorated pumpkins, painted model castles, and had their faces painted, which was great fun. To finish our day we all sat on the terrace and enjoyed a drink, while admiring the stunning views. We will be looking forward to the next event at the castle.

Amazing place - lovely, friendly staff and great experience. Me and my family went for a Halloween children event which was free. There were several activities for the children and the friendly staff made the experience great. They also made some halloween cookies. The place also has a pub with lovely food and drinks. Food & drinks: Great creativity

I feel very lucky to have Lympne castle on my door step and extremely privileged that the owner has opened the doors to the public to allow us to also enjoy and experience this beautiful place. Mike and his team are super hospitable and enthusiastic and made me and my family feel like royalty today,. We booked for Sunday lunch for 11 of us. The food and drinks were perfect. It’s such an amazing experience, it starts from the minute you step into the courtyard and once into the castle with its huge Christmas tree and roaring fire it’s absolutely stunning. You can smell history, it’s grand. The team make you feel special the minute you walk in through the door.

We visited the castle a few weeks ago and quite simply were blown away. It is a hidden gem in the Kent countryside which must be seen to be believed. The team who run the castle must care deeply about their guests as everything from beginning to end was flawless, almost fairytale experience. The food, service was outstanding and the team could not do enough for you. We will most certainly be back to revisit in the future as this really is a magical experience located in the Kent countryside.

We had the most magical festive afternoon at Lympne Castle! We decorated gingerbread cookies, did lots of crafts and then the amazing Kate and Mike helped to create a really special Santa experience. Can’t thank the whole team enough, such a friendly and helpful crew!

36 of us had a thoroughly enjoyable Christmas meal in the Great Hall with log fire and huge Christmas tree. The group menu was very reasonably priced, the food beautifully presented and delicious, the service calm, friendly and efficient. The whole atmosphere was friendly, welcoming and relaxing. A big Thank You to Dan, Laura and all the staff!

Myself and my daughter attended two events this Christmas at Lympne Castle and thoroughly enjoyed them both! She met Father Christmas and participated in the Elf Hunt. Both events were well run, not overcrowded due to time slots, wonderful staff and atmosphere and the opportunity to eat and drink on site. Beautiful surroundings and already eyeing up future events. Thank you.

An amazing Christmas meal last night. I knew the setting would be great - but also fantastic quality of food, followed by some of the best mince pies ever.

Enjoyed a birthday meal celebration in the same room that the couple got married in several years earlier. Service was superb, layout & ambience perfect. Roaring fireplace, delicious Christmas dinner. Even the heavy rain couldn't dampen the mood. Brilliant visit! Food & drinks: Incredible, delicious. Even the gravy jugs, dinner plates & vegetable platters were quirky and fabulous editions!

We (family of 3) spent Christmas Eve 2023 at Lympne Castle. The staff made the evening very enjoyable. The whole evening was brilliant and made our Christmas eve a memorable one. There was a free buffet, music and fairly priced drinks!

We had a wonderful time at Lympne Castle. We stumbled upon it while on a walk and went in for some drinks. The staff and service were 5 star. Lovely selection of drinks, amazing ambiance. They’ve paid a lot of attention to small details which is impressive. We Will absolutely be returning for a meal and more drinks by an open fire in this stunning place.

We had just been to the church next door. So we decided to go into the Castle for a coffee and a cake. Beautiful location and we were very well looked after. Would recommend 10/10.

Had a most delicious Sunday roast. Served with abundance of veggies and gravy... Enjoyed how the staff were dressed up in medieval costumes, making it feel realistic. Service was exceptional and friendly. Wonderful gardens and view over the horizon. Parking is a little troublesome but not a major problem.

I grew up in the village with the castle always being present, but not very accessible in my lifetime. It's fantastic to see the new owners open it up to the local community with the bar. The views from the tables on the outside terrace, where we spent the evening, over the Romney Marsh are unsurpassed. Attentive service, reasonable range of drinks and overall an experience which is quite unique.
